The Hands of Plasencia
Two years ago Vern moen, Dave Hill, and Chip Knechtel traveled to Nicaragua to film a short documentary about a special cigar factory - Plasencia Cigars. They went with the purpose of how can you love something that you truly don’t understand?
From seed to cigar, every Plasencia cigar takes up to fifteen years to create and goes through a 537 step process - all of which is done 100% by hand. The Hands of Plasencia is an intimate look into the people behind the brand and their process of creating an ultra premium cigar.
Dave Hill of Abrazo Cigars visits the Plasencia farm and factory to see how it’s all done. From organic composting, harvesting, aging, sorting, fermenting, rolling, and packaging, this a comprehensive behind-the-scenes look into how cigars are made - and the hands that do it.
Located in Estelí, Nicaragua, Plasencia Cigar Brand is the only cigar label to offer an organic cigar.
